Ah now, I'm not disputing that they are cuter than slugs - that's a given as far as I am concerned :D

aoife owned some big ol' bastard African snails at one time - they were huge! Though still cute enough ;)

Yeah, slugs. . . :bleh:

African snails?? I've never seen one! :wow: How cool!! My daughter had Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches, that's the only "African pets" we've had. :shrug: They were "sort of" cute.

Cockroaches!?! Cute!?! Even "sort of" is a bit of a stretch ;) Cutest "exotic" insects that I have seen for awhile are aoife's two stick insects ... Must get a few shots of them soon :)

Well, they're not the icky nasty ones that infest houses, they're the huge cool ones you see in horror movies!! Some even call them "beetles" when they sell them as pets just to fray the nasty cockroach stigma. :giggle: We were given a pair by an entomologist who said we should watch them mate and give birth. . . ??? :shrug: (entomologists are a little off sometimes) I guess it would've been cool, since they are born live rather than hatched from eggs, but the male ran away (found him crunchy a year later under a TV :bleh:) Sorry, I'm just :blahblah:

Now, stick insects ARE pretty freakin cute!! Ever see a Bug's Life?? :rofl: Charlotte, our tarantula, although not an insect, is sort of cute, she's fuzzy anyway. . .
